Goodsword is a magical sword that journeys with a wielder that will also fight for good. He is voiced by John Rhys-Davies in Season 1 and Jeff Bennett thereafter.
Physical Appearance[]
He is a long, silver sword with a blue pattern & small engravings.
Background Knowledge[]
He used to be owned by Thriffith but one day they unearthed an ancient temple which was where they found the Scimitar. So then the Thriffith tried the Scimitar which led to him replacing him as his sword.
It is mentioned in Season 3 Episode 5, "Sword's Man" that he was a student of the Great Masters, the same as El Guante Blanco. It is also mentioned that Goodsword and El Guante Blanco were once trained under Sir Todd Cooper and Baron Leithouser. It is possible that there was a time of Great Masters, although not confirmed.
Plot[]
Season 1[]
Sword[]
Dulcinea draws him from the stone he was stuck in, granting her immense strength and skill. When his original owner, the possessed Thriffith arrives, she tries to fight him, only to be restrained by the goodsword's affection for his original wielder. She alongside Puss in Boots removes the Scimitar from his grasp, freeing the Thriffith from his control. The two reunite and they go forth, having their own adventures.

He listens to Puss recounts the events leading up to the defeat of the Bloodwolf, reminding him it was merely the day before and he was there before leaving on his own journey.
Personality[]
The Goodsword can be snarky, but he has good intentions always. In the episode Sword, when Dulcinea raises him, he says, "You're gonna hurt him (the Thriffith)!" even though the Thriffith was evil at that point, it was clear that the Goodsword cared a great deal for him.
Abilities[]
He grants the user increased agility, speed, strength and gives the person advanced sword skills. In addition the sword himself is very strong and can float on its own, like the evil sword Scimitar. He has also shown he is able to make the user younger, as when El Guante Blanco wielded the sword he was shown to get younger.
Trivia[]
- He doesn't like the smell of asparagus or the sound of flamenco music.
- The Goodsword has been wielded by El Guante Blanco, Dulcinea, Puss in Boots, and Thriffith.
